About zu
zu is made up of people who are united behind one goal: to shape, inspire and transform the web into a pristine user experience. We aim to make the Internet a better place to be.
zu believes the Internet is so much more than just a collection of websites.
The Internet is ubiquitous. People access it whenever, wherever on whatever device is convenient. We understand the new web environment and have been a leader at adopting mobile technologies, social media applications and integration of APIs.
Our team of computer science graduates, designers, writers and project managers have created over 400 websites for companies across North America since 1995. Our programmers use current languages and platforms to create websites, mobile applications, content management and project management systems and software. We are unique in our position as a custom-design, full service Interactive Agency with over 40 staff.

“The Web is a powerful, inspirational tool,” Ryan says. “There are so many opportunities occurring at a break-neck pace. We have to be two steps ahead of the latest technology, and that’s what zu accomplishes every day.”

Ryan believes websites must employ the most contemporary designs to engage and inspire the user. With a firm grasp on the latest web and mobile technology, he strives to make each of zu’s websites more advanced in terms of usability and development. Ryan believes that being a member of the technical world doesn’t have to come at the expense of the environment. He’s committed to making zu’s practices sustainable. He also devotes time to saving Orca whales.
Ryan is a member of several organizations including Interactive Canada, the Cultural Human Resource Council Interactive and Technology Road Map.
