Account Manager

zu.com is seeking an ambitious, consultative and creative Account Manager with a passion for new technologies. You will work closely with zu team members to determine clients' communication needs and devise solutions utilizing online best practices and appropriate technologies. You will provide assistance to Account Executives to ensure clients' expectations are exceeded. Ideally you will have a background in web technologies web services, and/or web design (spending 50 hours a week on Facebook does not count - OK, maybe it does).

Skills

Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is desirable
  • a proven record of sales ability and success in growing accounts
  • an aptitude for Internet technologies
  • business development experience within a communications or professional services agency is an asset, particularly of an online focus
  • experience with Customer Relationship Management software would be an asset (Sugar, SAP, Siebel CRM, GoldMine, Salesforce.com).
  • fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • must like music and participate in D.J.-of-the-day

Responsibilities

  • manage and grow existing clients by strengthening relationships and providing customer service that exceeds their expectations
  • identify online communications requirements/needs and provide value-added solutions in a proactive manner
  • utilize sales management software to track and record opportunities
  • develop and execute personal sales plans, prepare proposals, assist in the development of sales strategies and products and conduct client presentations either in person or by web conference
  • able to play an instrument in the zu band (triangle-players needed)
