Brittany’s interest in design first took its roots in childhood, when she dove into the world of fine arts. Needing a creative outlet and unsure about career prospects, Brittany followed an instructor’s suggestion and pursued an education in design. In an effort to push past her comfort zone, Brittany moved from Nova Scotia to Saskatoon and began her journey with zu in 2014.
Proficient in Sketch and Axure, Brittany is known as a “less-is-more” designer, and has a knack for keeping things simple. With an interest in design psychology, Brittany looks at every project under a different light in order to come up with unique and creative solutions for users. She has designed for clients such as Canadian Lentils, Cameco, and MySask411, putting the spotlight on functionality and UX.
A self-described “maker of random things,” Brittany extends her creative side into personal time, crafting jewelry, painting, and altering clothes. Feel free to strike up a conversation with her about the latest fitness craze, but don’t challenge Brittany to a rap battle unless you’re ready to meet her alter-ego B-Real. If Brittany were a hashtag, she would be #dontknockittillyoutryit.
