Developer

Sadie Swanson

Sadie has worked in the world of development since 2008, sharpening her skills in Drupal before joining zu in 2015. Her role now encompasses back-end and theme development, as well as writing PHP for clients such as City of Saskatoon, Canadian Lentils, and AltaGas.

Sadie thrives in the middle ground between development and operations. In her own words: “I’ve always found performance and scalability intriguing, and enjoy listening to conversations surrounding devops, Drupal, and performance. We build these software systems for people to use, so watching how they function under load has always been an interest area for me.”

Sadie will jump at the opportunity to discuss the ins and outs of Drupal or performance, but catch her outside of work, and she’ll school you on all things dog training. An active volunteer and advocate for animal welfare, Sadie can be found running her pups through an agility course or in the driver’s seat of her motorcycle on a cross-country trip.
