Valerie Baier

Like countless others on the prairies, Val spent her childhood years on a farm south of Saskatoon. In search of a faster wifi connection, she moved to the big city and quickly immersed herself in the world of technology. After building experience in the industry, Val set her sights on zu and began her journey with us in 2014.

For Val, every day is unique. Demonstrated throughout partnerships with Cameco and the City of Saskatoon, Val applies all of her technical and creative know-how into making each client project a success. Her expertise ranges from user experience to visual design, and this boundary-spanning role is exactly what makes her such a Val-uable asset.

In her own words, “I get really excited when we are presented with a problem to solve. I love a challenge and I love collaborating with our design team. Nothing is more satisfying than feeding off of each other’s ideas to get the best possible user experience solution for a client.”

After-hours, Val could be found curled up in a blanket, coffee (and new baby) in hand, working on her latest DIY Pinterest project, and binge-watching the latest series on Netflix. If Val were a hashtag, she would be #shortgirlproblems.
